I have a small group of "letters to home" written by a Flight Sgt., then later, W/O HR Black of the Canadian Royal Air Force 1940-42. The last one, Sept.'42, is to him but was returned stamped MIA. He mentions, and it is written on the envelope below, that he was to be transferred to the US Army Air Corps.

How best to research this pilot? His Canadian service number is on his letters home and on this last one to him, so he must have gone MIA shortly after transferring. Does anyone have access to a AAC pilot database? (He mentions several times that he was a pilot).
