bobgee Posted April 4, 2014 Share #9 Posted April 4, 2014 In 2000, I traveled to France with Military Historical Tours to visit the WWI Marine battlefields. General Mundy was on the trip as the tour Host along with BGen Ed Simmons of the Marine Corps Museums. I just wanted to say it was my distinct privilege to spend a week with this outstanding Marine leader and fine gentleman. We saw the sights and crawled in & out of old of German trench emplacements. We honored the fallen at Belleau Wood. He was the most down to earth guy you could ever imagine. He will be missed. Rest in Peace, Sir. Leatherneck72 Posted April 15, 2014 Share #11 Posted April 15, 2014 Gen Mundy cared about his Marines and his Corps. In the end, that's all that matters.
