Part of a USMC collection bought this weekend.

Fun to buy things by the pound!

My apologies for having a NAZI helmet and car pendant in the photo, hope it does not offend anyone! I'll DE-Nazify these pieces ASAP! crying.gif

Enjoy,

Howard

Nice stuff but Umm I hope you don't mean you'll actually de-nazify the helmet by scratching off the decal??

-Matt.

Why not....? It's such an evil symbol...even this forum has asked members to censor (sorry ment to say edit) our photos before posting. It will be more difficult to remove the threads from the car pendant. Cutting is much easier! w00t.gif

I'll try to post the photos of the 13 USMC canteens tomorrow!

Cheers,

Howard

I seriously hope it is just your sence of humour and your not planning to destroy some history for no reason.

Please people, its German not Nazi, using that word to describe anything German, is offencive.

Nice buy. Was that one person's gear or a collection? I once paid $20 for two foot lockers full of stuff from an Army Air Corps Sgt.: it was quite a treasure trove when laid out, but nothing like what you have there.

Congrats on that find...

Thanks for the kind remarks.

Kinda a strange deal.....!

The Marine Corps gear is from a collector. He's burnt-out on collecting U.S.M.C. gear, and trading for W.W.2 German field gear! think.gif

Traded a few gas masks, "Y-straps", canteens, and a '39 EK 1st class for everything!

People always surpise me by their psycho collecting habits.

Cheers,

Howard

I know a guy who collects high quality items. He gets spurts. He'll collect German helmets for a couple years, spending thousands. Then he'll decide to collect daggers and sell ALL of his helmets to buy daggers for a couple years. Then he'll sell ALL the daggers to buy something else. kind of strange
