screaming-eagle Posted May 23, 2008 Share #1 Posted May 23, 2008 I recently picked up a couple WW2 fighting knives at an antique fair( ill post them later) and now I'm kind of addicted to these, and was wondering if anyone has any tip on what to look for in period knives, there are a lot of hunting knives that were donated or sold for the war effort, and i want to know what to look for, i have been on eBay and they seem to have some good deals and they all look like they are from the time period but i just want to be sure i am getting a fighting knife and not an old hunting knife that only drew deer blood. Also on USMC stamped knives (Ka bars etc.) is there a way to tell if one is not ww2 period? thanks David
gunbarrel Posted May 24, 2008 Share #2 Posted May 24, 2008 David, I know the addiction feeling My advise is for you to pick up some books before you buy any more knives. This is a great one to start with, with more on the same website. Good luck! http://www.usmilitaryknives.com/reference_guide.htm
