I had not thought about a Chaplin as a POW. Were they treated as men of the cloth, or as combative prisoners.

 

It depends upon the enemy. No chaplain who got caught during Korea or Vietnam came back alive.

Chaplain Emil Kapaun received the MOH for what he did in a North Korean POW camp.

Chaplains are protected by the Geneva convention. But then...

All the posters are nice but those first four are awesome.Thank you so much for sharing them.You are right that Chaplains are protected by the Geneva Convention, so were medical personnel and we all know what happened to them.When I was a medic we had a Geneva Convention card with a big red cross on it.We just laughed.

Did you happen to purchase the POW posters on ebay in the last month or so? I bid on the same set of posters at an auction up in PA and the bidder who won them did list them on ebay.
