all1knew Posted December 31, 2013 Share #1 Posted December 31, 2013 Hello all, I was wondering if anyone could please identify what period this may have been manufactured in. To me, this pin looks older than WW2 badges that I have handled. Any ideas? William Kramer

all1knew Posted December 31, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted December 31, 2013 do I maybe see a NS Meyer New York mark on this one?
KurtA Posted December 31, 2013 Share #4 Posted December 31, 2013 Being unmarked with that style of catch, I would estimate 1930's.

tredhed2 Posted December 31, 2013 Share #7 Posted December 31, 2013 What you may have is the pre-war 3rd Coast Artillery Regiment - Harbor Defense (HD) and the only known maker is N.S. Meyer. During WW II it was redesignated 534th CA Bn (AA)AW) in July 1952. It was redesignated 534th AA AW Bn in Dec 1943. It could have been worn by those units during the war.
