I was wondering if anyone could please identify what period this may have been manufactured in. To me, this pin looks older than WW2 badges that I have handled. Any ideas?

Being unmarked with that style of catch, I would estimate 1930's.

What you may have is the pre-war 3rd Coast Artillery Regiment - Harbor Defense (HD) and the only known maker is N.S. Meyer. During WW II it was redesignated 534th CA Bn (AA)AW) in July 1952. It was redesignated 534th AA AW Bn in Dec 1943. It could have been worn by those units during the war.
