Salvage Sailor

along with a nice, clean map that just does not convey the damp, hot, sticky, buggy feel of Vietnam

Wow! Quite a set of paper items, plaques, etc. I wonder who the older guy in khakis with him in the on pic was... I could not quite make out his officer rank?

Thanks for posting! The snapshots are excellent!

LT. Commander - This is his grouping.

Pretty scrappy officer, 7 submarine war patrols in WWII, more in Korea, then became not only a hardhat diver but a mixed gas diver in 1959 at the age of 36.

He was 48 when these photos were taken on his third RVN tour. He's wearing his war patrol pin under his diving pin in that photo.

Those photos actually have a lot of detail in them that can be brought out with Photoshop. This is just a quick run at them...

Awesome grouping. The spiral bound back has a ton of info on certain units and operations. The plaques are also very nice.I have a HCU-1 beer can plaque.Looks like the CMDR is missing an OLC on his NDM.
