WWII G Suits

I was reading James Bradley's Flyboys and he mentions G-suits being issued to Navy corsair pilots at the time of the operations against ChiChi Jima. Does anyone know what model they would be? And are these things acquirable? My thinking is if they are to be had it is for a very high price.

Thanks.

You might want to check out a copy of Combat Flying Equipment by CG Sweeting, it has a large article on G-suits with some identifying pictures. One photo shows 4 of the different G-suits used in WW2 as well as developement histories. I have a few pairs of G-suits from the late forties and early 50s, but have not been able to find any earlier. Most of the prices for these are Very reasonable, but a WW2 dated one... think.gif Dave

Full body one, huh.

Well thank you very much for the replies. I'm just moving toward naval aviation so I'm going to pick up some books, have had some good recommendations.
