Calvin Hall Posted November 27, 2013 Share #1 Posted November 27, 2013 I recently acquired this nice WWI uniform lot from a relative of the veteran. Lot includes tunic, shirt, pants, leggings, dog tags and campaign medal. Shirt features a red chevron on the right sleeve. The uniform is in very nice condition. Jarhead8007 Posted November 27, 2013 Share #4 Posted November 27, 2013 Amazing! Thanks for sharing. As a former military logistician (i.e., quartermaster), I'm very jealous.
atb Posted November 27, 2013 Share #5 Posted November 27, 2013 I don't see a "shirt." I see two coats- a wool coat and a cotton coat (that goes with the cotton breeches). The red stripe is a WW1 Honorable Discharge chevron.

kwc271 Posted May 10, 2017 Share #8 Posted May 10, 2017 Believe it or not, I now own the wool tunic, dog tags, medal, puttees, and leggings(brown version). I bought them from Bay State Militaria. Do you happen to know what division this man was from? Thank you Kevin PS: I wonder what happened to the other tunic, trousers and leggings? stealthytyler Posted May 12, 2017 Share #9 Posted May 12, 2017 What's the deal with the cloth dog tag chain? I have a dog tag set using the same material but from wwii.
RustyCanteen Posted May 12, 2017 Share #10 Posted May 12, 2017 Twill tape was the standard issue 'chain' in WWI.
