AndyUSMC Posted November 25, 2013 Share #1 Posted November 25, 2013 This ring came from the estate of a US Army Officer that served with the Nationalist Chinese during WW2. The face is enameled with the letters GSS, on the side is engraved FACULTY and a 1944 date. There is Chinese writing on the inside. I am guessing this might have been a Staff school that he taught Chinese officers at? Please let me know if you know what this is. Thanks
Dave Posted November 25, 2013 Share #2 Posted November 25, 2013 I can't remember the name of the unit for the life of me, but I had a group about 18 years ago to an officer who was an artillery instructor to the Chinese. One of the few I wish I kept... fantastic ring!!!
