WWII, I have never seen a pinback CAP hat badge...

So a pinback would be better :-) . You don't see as many AMICOs, most of these are Robbins or KC Green

I'm guessing that says Gemsco and not Amico.  I agree with Paul that a pin back would be much more rare.  I'm guessing you're referring to the Gemsco pin back CAP Hat Badge that Cliff has posted on my site.  That's the only CAP pin back hat badge I've seen.

The pin back CAP cap badge is about half size. I had a Robbins in sterling that came in a CAP woman pilot's group.....no I never knew that women flew with the CAP during WW2.......not until I got that grouping.

These hat badges are the original design for officers and were authorized from Dec. 1942 till Dec. 1953. The only pin-back versions I have ever seen are the half size mentioned above. These miniature are reportedly intended for wear by female officers, but as far as I know, no official documentation has ever been found to authorize these small badges..
