Lineage: Constituted as 2 Photographic Laboratory Section on 11 Oct 1943. Activated on 02 Nov 1943. Redesignated as 2 Photographic Technical Unit on 09 Oct 1944. Inactivated on 15 Oct 1945. Consolidated (16 Oct 1984) with the 2 Reconnaissance Technical Squadron, which was constituted on 03 Dec 1951. Activated on 10 Dec 1951. Inactivated on 31 Mar 1971.
