Mainemilitaria Posted November 4, 2013 Share #1 Posted November 4, 2013 Picked up this pair of DUIs, came with "domed nickle early Mechanized Cavalry" collar brass...not in my WW2 Order of Battle or US Army Heraldic Crests books...and a quick search turned up nothing.... Thanks in advance..... Almost forgot: "NS Meyers Inc. M-9" duel shields "clutchbacks"....(early 50s ?) John G. Mainemilitaria
The_Brick Posted November 4, 2013 Share #2 Posted November 4, 2013 I wasn't able to accurately find the unit, but the Institute of Heraldry has the motto "Strike Terror" associated with the 762nd Tank Bn. I wasn't able to find to find any information or pictures of the Battalion. http://www.tioh.hqda.pentagon.mil/UniformedServices/mottos.aspx

doyler Posted November 4, 2013 Share #4 Posted November 4, 2013 The double Meyer hallmark(Im guessing (9M in the one shield) also dates these to the 50s and with the silver/nickle domed collar discs its a set worn in the 50s
