Mitch Posted November 3, 2013 Share #1 Posted November 3, 2013 Hi, Not my area of expertise (if I had one !) but could someone tell me where these Di's were made. They came with some vietnam era items but are thicker and have different pin attachment. Not like a Viet made beercan. any help appreciated. Thanks, Mitch

vzemke Posted November 3, 2013 Share #3 Posted November 3, 2013 Knowing what units they are would probably help pin down what era. I kinda doubt they are from 1945. -Vance

Pinback or screwback would be more typical of an immediate post war German-made. Those German style thumb tack clutch posts were still being used decades after the end of WW2. Mitch Posted November 3, 2013 Author Share #7 Posted November 3, 2013 Hi Guys, Sorry, I didn't post the fronts. I didn't know they would be made in that big of timeframe. The smaller ones are for the 25th Field Artillery Regiment. The bigger one is for a Short Timer. Hope this helps. Thanks again, Mitch
Steve B. Posted November 3, 2013 Share #8 Posted November 3, 2013 I know for a fact the Short Timer pin was sold in the 1975-78 time frame in Germany, and most likely long before and long after.
