hhbooker2 Posted April 27, 2008 Share #1 Posted April 27, 2008 Here is a wonderful example of a 1933 "CHICAGO MILITARY STORES" catalogue which reads at top: "Qualitity & Distinction in Military Equipment." The cover is printed in black, gold, and white and catches the eye of the beholder, it is full of post-WW1 uniforms as well as some used style like the dress whites with chocker collars that predate the First World War. These are getting harder to come by as eBay sellers start their bids higher as though they're discovered the "mother-lode" of a vein of gold ore. You have it all here for absolutely free and can download and even make your own CDs of this paper treasure of yesteryear! Enjoy! hhbooker2 Posted April 30, 2008 Author Share #18 Posted April 30, 2008 Excellent! Do they accept PayPal? Thanks for sharing. Very interesting stuff. -Ski SKI: Right, Paypal, don't we both wish they were around and sold at those prices! Gettings tougher finding those old mi8litaria catalogue and eBay sellers assume they're worth more?
hhbooker2 Posted April 30, 2008 Author Share #19 Posted April 30, 2008 Hi Sarge, once again an excellent selection of pages that you have shared with us all, I for one very muchenjoy these uniform sales catalogs. Thanks again, ( Lewis ) LEWIS: Ilike to bid on and win those on eBay, get them in the mail and scan them so others can also indulge themselves reading them and getting a glimpse of the past. Unfortunately many bidders do not scan them to sharee and hoard. What good is a collection if it is never seen and enjoyed at least by a few others? Pray tell?
