I got this truck 22 years ago. It's been sitting at my Dad's for the last 20 years until I finally made room here at my house to start the restoration process. Here it is after some prep work. It's nice that the original unit markings are still readable on the bumper. 90th Div 359th Reg, Co I anti-tank 19. It also had a ring mounted machinegun at one time that I will install once it's ready.

This is someone elses truck. I found the picture on the 'net somewhere. It's my inspiration. I only hope I can get close to making mine look this nice.

Found some old photos of day 1. I guess I was wrocn about the 22 year thing. The pictures are dated 1996. Anyway. Here's what it looked like from the road. I didn't find it, but was told about it by an old guy I knew. It's the big yellow pile of junk.

It belonged to a logging company. It was thier maintenance truck until it broke down. The last time it was licensed for the road was in 1968. It took some work to get it out of the brush and loaded on the trailer. Good thing I was much younger then!

Looks like it was in England at some point too...with the extended white blackout markings on the rear body and bumperettes...nice original markings too...but i think i see some more markings behind them ones.

Looking good, Robin. I didn't realize it had had that box on the bed previously. Nice to see the cab back on. Keep up the good work!

Here are a couple progress photos. I work on her almost every day, but it hardly shows until now. I installed the windshield frame yesterday. I had new glass installed about 15 years ago, so it was a joyous occasion to finally get it on the truck. She's finally showing some personality.

Looks great Robin. It appears the 15 year wait was well worth it. Keep up the good work!

I'm going to go with the M24A2 pedestal mount on mine rather than the ring.

I need to replace the glass in mine. Did you have a automotive glass company do it, or did you do it.

Geez, that was 15 years ago. I think I took it to a local glass shop. Not an automotive shop, but I bet they could do it just as well.

My truck had a ring in it at one time, so I'm going with the ring mount.

Not much has changed. I plan to move it out of the work shop in a few weeks to make room for the bed. The bed needs a lot of attention and I plan on working on it during the rainy winter months.
