patches Posted October 18, 2013 Share #2 Posted October 18, 2013 Not a real pro on these types but it will date anytime between 1962, the date the Army adopted this badge for Air Crewman, and not after the date the rank of Specialist 4th Class was done away with as an official rank, it now being know as simply Specialist in the grade of E-4, not sure on that date, some time in the late 80s? As far as a "Vietnam" flight suit, they didn't wear this type badge, it was name tapes along with the U.S.Army tape, on both the early grey one piece, and the later OD two piece nomex, perhaps this might of been worn on the sage green reversible to orange flight jackets, but again in the 60s these too had name and U.S. Army tapes, so perhaps than a 80s worn one.
