Marksman Posted October 8, 2013 Share #1 Posted October 8, 2013 An Identification Card to an German POW - He was a Medic and worked during his POW time in a US Field hospital in North Africa around 1943. I made the name on the photo unrecognizable I got all the Documents and Papers / Photographs and so on... from this man. He was my Neighbor and died last Year. He escaped in 1945 from a French prison camp, was snatched by the Americans and fled again. 1946 he worked as a kitchen boy in the British Army in Germany. There he could steal food for his family. And he was so proud to be the post-war fled famine. The best at the end. In the 50s he studied and worked then as a teacher.
