Dakota Posted October 7, 2013 Share #1 Posted October 7, 2013 I'm trying to figure out this unit crest that I was looking at on the ASU of a Army Officer Judging by his ribbons he must've been enlisted in the navy but the best I can describe the unit crest is what appears to be a the Eagle. The officer is cavalry, not sure if its cavalry though Hopefully someone can help D

VolunteerArmoury Posted October 9, 2013 Share #4 Posted October 9, 2013 That's the position of the Regimental Affiliation. The Support & Service Support folks wear respective Regimental Affiliation with other branches wearing a regiment they've claimed affiliation with. So two different crest can be worn on a uniform (by Enlisted on ASUs since Officers don't wear their current assigned DUIs but did on the Service Greens). I wear a 54th Infantry Regiment DUI for my Regimental Affiliation & Eisenhower Army Medical Center on my shoulders & beret for my current assignment.
