Hello

Here's an unusual find made this morning near Paris : an USMC parka model 1948-49. This is not my theme but I'm happy : apparently is not so common, even less in France ^_^

Bye

Thanks Zotig

I have no idea how this effect could land in France ... the beautiful story that would have belonged to a veteran of the French battalion of the UN fought in Korea with the 23th Infantry Regiment ... but seller was quite unable to find out the origin of this parka !

I collect everything that has to do with the USN during the Battle of Normandyn in 1944, so I think this parka will leave the exchange in the right section of this forum. Otherwise, in the sale section ... :D

I see there are some side adjusters. I have an army M1947 parka (one Marines used in Korea as well) and they have belt loops (3) as opposed to side adjusters. Is this a different parka from that based on the waist adjustments, or is it just a modification?
