vietvet7071 Posted September 4, 2013 Share #1 Posted September 4, 2013 I would like to receive comments such as time frame, etc., about this bullion embroidered wing. As you see it is sewn directly on the black cloth. It measures approx. 2 3/4 inches long. I believe it is U.S. Army, 1950s - 60s. Let me know what your thoughts are. John Conway Posted September 4, 2013 Share #3 Posted September 4, 2013 This is really a tough call. Air Force style wings, Army shaped shield? Being on black cloth would lean towards it being USAF for the mess jacket, which is also black, but 2 3/4" is more Army wing size as USAF Mess Dress wings are 2". I guess I'd have to agree with you about 50-60's Army, and I suppose for dress blues? Neat to see it! Like those oddities.
