The inside is just bare cardboard. Not really photo worthy. I don't know what the rectangular hole in the side is about. It's factory made and not cut in by an owner.

The rectangular cut out was for putting a name plate into.....I ran into one of these boxes in an antique store yesterday...Pretty decent condition...No holes or flaking of the cardboard, but some staining....Had a metal thermos with it, but don't know how old it was....Price was $125, which was little rich for my blood.....Interesting item none the less...Bodes
