t_player Posted August 13, 2013 Share #1 Posted August 13, 2013 The family found these papers today that pertain to the purple heart I showed yesterday. A nice little bonus to go with the heart.

devildog34 Posted August 14, 2013 Share #11 Posted August 14, 2013 Congrats on this terrific historical find. Marrying up these documents with the heart is fantastic and a great contribution to keeping this young warriors story upon conscious memory. It'll be a great honor I'm sure to be a caretaker to this historic piece of history and a custodian to a sad reminder of why we're such a fortunate nation. Thank you for sharing Reeves story. mpguy80/08 Posted August 14, 2013 Share #15 Posted August 14, 2013 You should contact the Museum of 20th Century Warfare at Fort Harrison in Indianapolis. They have a display model of the Indy built by the surviving crew. They might be able to shed more light on the documents. You can find the M20CW here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/M20CW-Museum-of-20th-Century-Warfare/290393798289 Hope this helps! Wayne
