I noticed we did not have a dedicated thread for listing pictures of sweetheart jewelry, so here it is.

Post your pictures of any jewelry a spouse or family would wear to show their support for their Service Member. Doesn't matter if you own it or just came across a picture online, post it here.

Here are some sweetheart pins from the U.S. Military Academy. The center one is the most attractive as it has small pearls in the center of the A. The Dialectic Society pin is engraved as shown in the photo below. All are dated 1938.

You would have to have some small fingers to attach these pins as the pin back itself is incredibly small. :) Bob

This has to be my favorite sweetheart piece in my collection. It is a husband and wife locket/dog tag group. I bought it from the daughter of the veteran. She had a pair of trench art bracelets made by him, but wants too much for them.

Three more wing examples.

First is a wood wing with "V"-- it is pinback.

Second is plexiglass wing with "US" collar device-- clutchback.

Final one is from "New Guinea, 1944". It is sterling inset in plexiglass and the top pin has a theater made pinback.

I've been dabbling with USMC sweetheart items for some years now. Until the last year or two, sweetheart stuff was very often overlooked and underappreciated. However, my favorites have to be emblems that Marines made from actual insignias. Here's what I've amassed of this sweetheart 'trench' art...some of the better stuff is a KG Luke chain that came from Australia, my guess a gift from the officer to his Aussie sweetheart, a watch fob made from a button, watch/bracelet band made from Japanese Zero parts, and a Victorian era hat pin made with a button. Other emblems have pinbacks and earring attachments, rendered into jewelry
