Dakota Posted June 10, 2013 Share #1 Posted June 10, 2013 Yesturday I went over to my Grandparents with my brother and my Grandfather told me that he had some items from one of his old neighbors(I have the Man's Grouping, Box of Medals/Insignias/etc.. and his 2 USMC Alpha and Dress Blues along with patches) and asked if I wanted his dogtags(I already had a pair but I'll keep the grouping together) I said sure, and he showed me a USMC 2nd Marines Scout Sniper Plaque, a pair of dogtags, and a Nameplate for a Trophy or Plaque along with some Photos taken a year or 2 after Vietnam(EDRLs are in one of the Photos) I'll be posting photos later of the items, but I have another question. I'm going to get my dad to get a piece of wood so I can put the Plaque back together and hang it in my room somewhere, but I would like to see a plaque such as mine, or similar to mine. Its a circular Wooden plaque and it says SCOUT SNIPER 2D MARINES, and I'm thinking the Nameplate would go below the Plaque(Golden Nameplate with CPL. FName LName MAY Year - Year) I would just like to see an example of such, so my dad could put it together properly, or atleast close. My grandfather said he has more pictures and items so I'll be in for a field day D
Dakota Posted June 10, 2013 Author Share #2 Posted June 10, 2013 This is a example of how the plaque is set up. Except inside of ONE SHOT ONE KILL it said BELLEAU WOODS TARAWA.
