439th Signal Battalion Posted June 10, 2013 Share #1 Posted June 10, 2013 Friends, Since I concentrate on and collect Vietnam-era items specifically on the 199th Infantry Brigade, I am always happy to add more pieces to my "Redcatcher Relics" collection. First up is a stateside OG-107 belonging to a former battery commander of Alpha Battery, 2-40th Artillery, 199th LIB, 67-68. The 105 battery supported the 2-3rd Infantry and the officer was in charge of A/2-40 during the Tet Offensive. N Next up is a 1969 dated Jungle Jacket that belonged to a 199th LIB Brigade Inspector General, 2-3rd Infantry XO and Brigade S3 from 69-70. I was escpecially happy to find this marked liner for Delta Company, 2-3rd Infantry from another forum member. The search continues!

patches Posted June 10, 2013 Share #3 Posted June 10, 2013 Where's the upright sword on that II FFV patch??
439th Signal Battalion Posted June 10, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted June 10, 2013 Patches, You noticed that too. The II Field Force SSI is the usual mama-san version with no sword! This makes it unique or ugly depending upon your perception...
