mvmhm Posted June 5, 2013 Share #1 Posted June 5, 2013 As I drove up to the building today, I saw a woman walking down the stairs and luckily she stopped when she saw me pull up. Her husband served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1971, and was a Combat Arms instructor...after he retired, he was a civilian CAT at wright-Patterson. He passed away in October 2006. She brought these items to donate. She also has at least one uniform, his medals, and a number of patches he collected over the years....she wants to donate those as well. First up is a lightweight "Smokey Bear" style hat. The top is very sun faded, but you can see the faint outline of where an enlisted hat emblem was...the hat band looks brownish in color, but underneath it's blue. Here's the front and back: Mark sends
mvmhm Posted June 5, 2013 Author Share #2 Posted June 5, 2013 The inside shows the actual color...especially around the Stetson logo..... Mark sends
