I wonder if any of the wing folks here can help...

Do these wings look like the ones in the photo?

Thanks!

Absolutely... check out the right portion of the wing...larger flat portion third row. It's exactly like that shown in the photo.

In my opinion no,they are very similar but not the same. Look at where the wing joins the lower edge of the shield,on the one in the photo the feathers appear to project slightly below the lower corner of the shield, but the example you posted does not. Of course this could just be down to the angle from which the shot was taken.

It looks like it has a taller shield than the one you're comparing against in your first post. It think it looks more like the Meyer wing I have on my site here: http://www.ww2wings.com/wings/usaaf/pilot/meyeraafpilotgidhagen.shtml Note how in your photo of the wing on the uniform the shoulder line of the wing joins the shield below where the vertical lines of the shield begin. The original wing you posted has the shoulder line finishing above where the vertical lines begin in the shield. The Meyer wing I linked to fits better in my opinion. Also the shape of the shield seems to fit better to the Meyer than the wing posted or even other maker wings like A.E. Co. It could be a Fox wing as well. Really hard to tell just from this angled photo.

Thanks!

Seems like I have a photo project to do! I'll shoot from the same angle and re-post photos.
