Red Devil Posted May 23, 2013 Share #1 Posted May 23, 2013 Alright, I'm still shaking with excitement at this find! It arrived today and I believe it to be a legit WWII-era unissued or unused M42 jump jacket (I have nothing comparable in my collection). The lack of wear initially had me skeptical but upon inspection (it smells old too) I believe it to be original. Still trying to contain my excitement and share this objectively as possible. Main zipper is a Conmar, knife pocket zippers are Talons. All work great. Snaps are constructed with zinc parts. It is stamped 38R and in the pocket the crisp tag denotes manufacture by Sigmund Eisner. In the same pocket I found a folded blue Eisner inspector paper! There are pencil (I think) marked "7" marks under the flaps of the two lower pockets and under the collar. There is only one tiny snag/hole on a sleeve, otherwise everything is in wonderful shape. Came complete with belt in equally fantastic condition. I would greatly appreciate feedback on this one! -Johannes

I have a set(jacket and trousers) from a 17th Abn man thats was new until he loaned it to his association and they wore it.
