What is this medal??

Hello!
I picked this medal up today but I really have no idea what it is!! Any help identifying it would be greatly appreciated!!

This is a service medal given by the city of Evansville, Indiana to every citizen who served during WWI. The name on the back is the soldier who it was given to. This was a medal of appreciation and not a formal military award.
