disneydave Posted March 9, 2013 Share #1 Posted March 9, 2013 A recent addition to my collection: The November 1944 edition, which was published for and distributed at the graduating ceremony of the University of Colorado, Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps. The cover illustration was created by Disney artist Hank Porter.
Salvage Sailor Posted March 9, 2013 Share #2 Posted March 9, 2013 The "Wavy Navy" shoulder boards are a nice artistic touch. (The "Wavy Navy" was a WWII term for reserve officers)

Lee Ragan Posted March 10, 2013 Share #5 Posted March 10, 2013 The "Wavy Navy" shoulder boards are a nice artistic touch. (The "Wavy Navy" was a WWII term for reserve officers) The term "Wavy Navy" was borrowed from the British "Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve", whose rank strips were "wavy", instead of straight.
