PFC Rossi Posted March 8, 2013 Share #1 Posted March 8, 2013 On January 22nd, 1944 allied American and British troops landed at Anzio and Nettuno, Italy, to bypass the Gustav line that blocked allied advance in the thrust toward Rome. Among other American forces debarked from landing craft the paratroopers of 504th PIR and 509th PIB. PFC Rossi Posted March 9, 2013 Author Share #8 Posted March 9, 2013 Thank you for appreciating! What I want to point out is that this is the Real Anzio beachead, not somewhere else; this is exactly where one of the biggest operation of the WW2 took place and at the Anzio Casino was established the HQ for allied forces. Thank you Lawrence for your contributions, but stop posting pictures of yourself you narcissist!
