British made wings and other patches have in the past been posted on the forum which carry the words "Gwendyr Make" on the reverse backing materiel http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/144802-wwii-usaaf-aerial-gunner-bullion-wing-gwendyr-make/

It is often said these were made in Wales during WWII,however I've yet to see any evidence to substantiate this, beyond the name Gwendyr sounding Welsh in origin.

I have also seen examples of British Officers cap badges which carry the same Gwendyr Make marking. Can anyone shed any light on exactly who the Gwendyr company were, and where they were located?.

Thanks,

Matt.
