kfields Posted March 9, 2008 Share #1 Posted March 9, 2008 The first one is a "colorized" photo still in its' art deco type frame. I assume this is late 30's, maybe right before WWII ? No name or date on the back other than photographer's stamp from Minnesota.
kfields Posted March 9, 2008 Author Share #2 Posted March 9, 2008 The second is a studio photo of a Marine immediate post-WWI. Again no name but this one is dated 1919 on the reverse with a New York photographers stamp. Looks like he is wearing a WWI ribbon:
kfields Posted March 9, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted March 9, 2008 Here's a third photo that the vendor tossed in for "free". I wonder if this guy is a marine? No collar disks, taller than normal collar. I can't quite make out the image on the buttons. The medal next to his shooting badge looks like one of the many city, county, state medals issued post war. This one is named: " Marshall Paulsell " with a Columbus, Ohio photographers stamp. Any thoughts on this one?
kfields Posted March 9, 2008 Author Share #4 Posted March 9, 2008 Here's a 4th photo. Non-marine but interesting none-the-less. This fellow looks like a WWI era sailor wearing an early aviation carpenters mate rank insignia. No name. I'm interested in your comments and thanks for looking!
