mjw46 Posted February 15, 2013 Share #1 Posted February 15, 2013 I recently picked up a USMC P41 utility coat. Beautiful faded green... However, it has what looks to be paint stains on both sleeves. I've brushed them off as best I could but there is still a white residue left behind. Any ideas on how to safely clean off the rest of the paint. Thanks, Mike
gap Posted February 21, 2013 Share #2 Posted February 21, 2013 Not possible to remove dried paint, you will only make it worse. Grin and bear it.
mjw46 Posted February 23, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted February 23, 2013 Yep... That's what I thought. Careful brushing with a toothbrush has pretty much reduced it to a shadow of what it was. Thanks...
VMI88 Posted February 24, 2013 Share #4 Posted February 24, 2013 You've probably done the best you can, but I've also had good luck scraping with my thumbnail or the edge of a knife. Regardless of what method you use, scrubbing or scraping is about all you can do.
