Championhilz Posted March 8, 2008 Share #1 Posted March 8, 2008 I picked up this little book recently at a local antique shop, and it wasn't hard to figure out who it belonged to, as he stamped his name all over the book: Capt. W.D. Speaks, DC USNR - I know what the USNR stands for, but could anyone enlighten me as to what the DC means? One interesting thing about the book, it has a note in small print at the bottom of the page where the soldier inscribes his name: WARNING! When inscribing the presentation page of this book, don't write the name or number of division, regiment, company, ship, or other military unit with which the sailor or soldier is serving.
