Bob Hudson Posted January 24, 2013 Share #1 Posted January 24, 2013 This came direct from a vet who spent WWII in the Navy aboard a ship that received 7 battle stars, spent two years in the Marine Corps Reserve, then spent the rest of military career in the Army, retiring in early 1966 after spending time with a MACV team in Vietnam. He spent most of his Army career as an MP in Alaska and with the Provost Marshal at West Point. This stuff is old so the white canvas has a lot of discoloration (the boxes or the white MP belts are dated 1957).
Bob Hudson Posted January 24, 2013 Author Share #2 Posted January 24, 2013 Anyone know what these pieces are for? These leather baton holder and pouch are brown 1946 pieces dyed black:
Bob Hudson Posted January 24, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted January 24, 2013 I forgot to take a close up of them, but there are several pairs low white leggings: again pretty discolored after all these years. There are several variations of pistol lanyards, with one have some extra loops at the shoulder (there is also the white shoulder cords shown in the group photo above):
craig_pickrall Posted January 24, 2013 Share #4 Posted January 24, 2013 Anyone know what these pieces are for? These leather baton holder and pouch are brown 1946 pieces dyed black: Very nice selection of MP gear. The white cloth item is the backing for the holster. You can see the imprint of the holster at the bottom.
