In honor of the 70th anniversary of his death, I thought I would post this small tribute.

Dick Miller was from my hometown and has been a special interest of mine for over 25 years. I "adopted" his grave when I lived in Fort Wayne and when I go back; I try to stop and pay my respects.

CPT Miller was the bombardier on the B-25 right behind Doolittle’s aircraft flying into Tokyo. He was killed by anti-aircraft fire during a raid on the ports at Sfax, Tunisia on January 22, 1943.

If you are interested in reading more about this Tokyo Raider, the January 2015 issue of Aviation History magazine will run an article that I wrote on the life of Richard (Bud) Miller.
