Very Unusual ID tags

My uncle served in Korea during the active part of the war, he was in graves registration and operated the ID tag machine. These tags were made by him but contain some type of error and couldn't be used. He felt he couldn't just throw them away because at some point they may be found and confused with a grave and had no good way to totally destroy them so he just brought them home. He said they dug the graves with explosives in the winter.

Thanks for sharing these.

They are very interesting. I guess the bodies of En dead had to be IDed even if they had no ID.

The interpreter's tag would be needed in a war where friend looked just like foe.
