Post your description in www.knifetalkforums.com Randall section. Pretty sure someone can help you there on this. Could be a possible fake (Yes they are faking these now too). The price seems a little low as most new Randalls sell for $500.00 and up here on Ebay in the USA. Original WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War Randall prices are astronomical. Hope this helps.

If it was a real Randall $130 was a steal.,maybe a Model 3?Will look in a catalog when I get home. Also anything ordered from the factory today will be close to a 4 year waiting period.Thats why many guys go through a dealer called Nordic Knives. You may try to see if they have a webb site.

Cant say I remember a scabbard w/RANDALL on the front leather. You will see it on the buttons and stamped on the rear to the top.The early scabbards were made by HIESER and are a collectible themselves. As far as the aluminum cap it sounds correct as Randall has put what the call dura alumin for pommel caps. Some are flat.I know if customer requested they will put what you want for a price.Like the materials for the cross guards.I have seen brass, nickle silver, stainless etc.Randall produced many blade lengths as well. You will also see they produce a lot of smaller knives for the sportsman for fish and game.Hope this helps. ;)

  • 2 weeks later...

There is a knife company that has the Randell name. Not the same as Bo randell. They sell alot of tactical knives. Look for Randell Made,Orlando Fla. stamped in the blade. That would seal it as a Bo Randall, and a great buy.

Big Joe,

Sounds like a 1920-30s Remington hunting knife hence the RH(REMINGTON HUNTING) pattern or model number 40.Sounds like its not a bargin and I would venture to say you can search ebay or some of the knife or Reminton collectors forums and come up with information.Pal took over Reminton prior to WW2 but you will still see the pattern numbers on the blades like RH36 which is the Navy Mk1 and RH 37 which is the Navy Mk2.Pal also had others.
