gunnertwo Posted December 2, 2012 Share #6 Posted December 2, 2012 Very interesting concept on sighting. Since you can't see through the optic you must use with both eyes open. I had one years ago, didn't work for me as I have "seniority eyes". G2
AK101 Posted December 2, 2012 Author Share #7 Posted December 2, 2012 Very interesting concept on sighting. Since you can't see through the optic you must use with both eyes open. I had one years ago, didn't work for me as I have "seniority eyes". G2 It can take some getting used to but it can be done, when I demo Aimpoint use I usually show how the same thing can be done with the front cover closed. While not the best way to use an Aimpoint it shows how it can still be used if the front objective is covered in mud or other debris and still get some rounds on target with acceptable accuracy while you get to some cover and un:) your weapon. doyler Posted November 12, 2016 Share #10 Posted November 12, 2016 Ronny There is no reticle. Its just a red dit created by gathering light and reflecting it into the tube and eye piece. You actual yse both eyes to sight it.Yhe dot sj oes up in a black field. M1Garandy Posted November 13, 2016 Share #11 Posted November 13, 2016 What do these go for? Saw one for sale in the box today but I have no idea if the price was realistic.

I once had a guy on a forum going for an entire week that my keyboard would produce a "P" every time I typed an 'e'. So...does this sight use parallax to position a dot that reaches to infinity? Not sure as some of the steam punkies and Star Wars cos play lik e them. The Prop people used these on Storm Trooper rifles in the original movie. Seen some sell for $15 on ebay some more than $100....its not a stable market and finding buyers are not easy.

37thguy Posted December 15, 2016 Share #16 Posted December 15, 2016 The one I saw was over $100. Sounds like the high end of the price spectrum. NIB up to $200ish. Problem is they need special rings and mount that are like hens teeth. Also there are two versions of these. Make sure to buy the round end, not the cone version. 37thguy Posted May 22, 2017 Share #17 Posted May 22, 2017 Here's mine with the proper rings and base for the Son Tay raider carbines. It's a very unusual set up. Not your usual Weaver type rings & base.
KRIS FORD Posted January 20, 2018 Share #18 Posted January 20, 2018 The aiming concept is known as the Occluded Eye shooting..both eyes open and your brain transposes the red dot over the target..great for CQB. I work at TRIJICON..and in the early days, the Armson OEG was a very similar concept.
