manayunkman Posted November 30, 2012 Share #1 Posted November 30, 2012 Back in the late 80's I meet a lady at a yard sale. We exchange numbers and I call her that week. Not ready, need to go to attic, please call in 2 weeks. Well that turned into once a year and after 4 years I stopped calling. The following year she calls me and I go collect up some very nice TR items. During the visit I find out that the last name is Tittle and that Mr Tittle was part owner of Shenk & Tittle Sporting Goods. A well known ( maybe not so much now ) store in central Pennsylvania. I was not able to meet him and forgot about him. As I left the Tittle's I meet Frank Zlogar who lived across the street. Here is a link to that story http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/149296-frank-zlogar-8th-armored-pilzen-parade-flag/ Zlogar is the reason I forgot about Tittle until a few years later. It was Mrs Tittle. Mr Tittle had passed. I never had the chance to meet him. This is the uniform I got from Mrs Tittle. With the limited information that has been given in this thread can anyone guess where this is going ?
manayunkman Posted November 30, 2012 Author Share #2 Posted November 30, 2012 Here is a photo of Mr Tittle somewhere in Europe. Could this be the same Ike jacket ? The Tittle jacket here has no name or any kind of ID in it.

manayunkman Posted December 1, 2012 Author Share #24 Posted December 1, 2012 12th Army Group Bronze Star Citation. Mrs Tittle told me that one of her husbands jobs was to monitor all of the Generals calls on the unsecured telephone line. She told me that there was a call between Montgomery and Bradley one day. Sgt. Tittle had to interrupt them several times because they started to discuss classified information on the unsecured line.
