During the Korean War (1950-1953) the Office of Armed Forces Information and Education Department of Defense prepared the 1951 booklet titled: "THE UNIFORMS OF NATO." It covers the insignia and uniforms of Belgiun, Canada, Denmark, France, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Turkey, United Kingdom, and United States. NATO or North Atlantic Treaty Organization later lost France when they pulled out suddenly. P-21 is the code letter and number for this publication, probably issued to the troops of the U.S. and their allies? Page 1. thumbsup.gif

Great stuff Sarge. It's hard to find good insignia references in that early Cold War period. Everybody & their brother puts of stuff on WWII and the current insignia, but so much was used from the post WWII period that has disappeared, or no references are available on it. Thanks for sharing this with us, even tho it's foreign. thumbsup.gif
