2 pre-ww1 Bolo Knives....

I picked up these to pre-WW1 bolo knives yesterday.....The top one is 1910 dated and the bottom one is 1909 dated. both are Springfield Armory marked and serial numbered...http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o75/DragonsVision/100_2402.jpg

The top one is a Hospital Corps bolo and was not intended to be a weapon. It was tool for use in the field by medical personnel.

I have a nice Bolo and scabbard like the one pictured on top. Solid piece!

The bottom one is the Model1909 bolo. You have a first year production piece-it should have a very low serial number.

I did not get any scabbards with them but I see the scabbards turn up from time to time so when I get a chance I will get the scabbards for them....
