Named Army Good Conduct Medals

This is a great thread on WW2 named GCM's!

I like all the different lettering styles and is a great representation of what to look for.

I see now some lettering similar to the one on the far right in this pic.

The ones on the left are beautifully engraved IMO.

 


does the one that is "pantograph" engraved seem OK? or is this a later issue medal?

Here is a named and numbered Army Good Conduct Medal.
I never have been able to figure out the name on this medal.
Numbered on the lower rim with an unprefixed number "25192".

Here is a photo of the front of Rebecca Moore's Good Conduct Medal. It is interesting that all three lapel pins are pin backs which would be appropriate for a female veteran since women's jackets generally do not have a place for the button type lapel pin.

Hi Jay,

 

Those Army Good Conduct Medals you posted are some beauties. I always enjoy seeing these named examples. I have recently been out bid on a couple of named WAC GCM's, guess I need to quit being such a cheapskate.
