Vietnam Leaflets

I was a Crew Chief on C-130 Aircraft in Vietnam in the early seventies. When our aircraft preformed leaflet drops plenty of leaflets would blow back into the cargo compartment. Here are a couple leaflets I saved from 1971-72. I believe they were dropped over Laos. I think one may be a recruitment leaflet and I do not know what the other may be. If anyone out there can translate these I would be very appreciative. I've been hanging on to these for 36 years

Can't do anything for the first one, but I like it very much! Laos, Laos... w00t.gif

But in vietnamese, the translation is something like :

The SVN gvt completely respects the following law :

- all the prisoners are kindly taken care of,

- it is always necessary to respect the prisoner

- all armed forces keeping prisoners must take care and treat them accordingly

(reminder about the Geneva convention about the prisoners).

The SVN gvt completely respects the prisoner law and strictly follow the article 118 of the Geneva Convention, signed on the 12th of aug 1949 .

The SVN gvt agrees that all the prisoners will be freed at the end of the war and send back to theirs hometowns.

Don’t be afraid to be caught, and when it happens, just surrender. Be brave, but surrender. Doing so, you can wait peacefully before going back home.

Thank you very much NTS. I never knew if the second leaflet was a surrender leaflet or not. Thanks for the translation. It is very much appreciated!!!
