ww2 Cavalry Studio portrait

The SSI is the fifth corps. The 106th was attached to the fifth corps from January 1941 until January 1942 at Camp Livingston, Louisiana. Great photo of a pre-war cavalryman. The M1940 boots, winter service uniform and Downer's Grove photographer's marking lead me to believe the photo was taken in November 1941 while a lot of the troopers from the 106th were home on leave. Leaves were cancelled the last week of November or the first week of December (I can't remember which).
