KASTAUFFER Posted October 11, 2012 Share #34 Posted October 11, 2012 It's nice to see this group all back together again. It would have been a crime to have seen it all split up. Nice work! Kurt
pchepurko Posted October 11, 2012 Share #35 Posted October 11, 2012 That is a nice group. He had a long career and a short retirement of 8 years, too bad.

Jack's Son Posted October 11, 2012 Author Share #42 Posted October 11, 2012 Thank you, Dick. I'm going to have to do more digging, because I am wondering why he has no China Service Medal. If he was there long enough to pickup a Shoochow Creek Medal, why no China Service??
Jack's Son Posted October 12, 2012 Author Share #43 Posted October 12, 2012 Any guesses why this man has no China Service Medal?
aerialbridge Posted October 13, 2012 Share #44 Posted October 13, 2012 Posted Today, 01:13 PM Any guesses why this man has no China Service Medal? JS, I'll take a stab- Bridge and Auburn are listed on his Notice of Separation abstract, and both of those qualified for China Service at various times in 37-39. I'll guess he just wasn't on either one at the qualifying times. Still a really nice and complete Mustang group--everything but the uniforms and the sword. That photo of him with the 2 other WO's in dress blues and longcoats with swords, and wearing their GCM's (no other medals) is neat.

Cert is a little worse for ware and the box with the oak leaves has gone missing but the oak leaves are still here as is the rest of the group.
