MFT3 Posted September 28, 2012 Share #7 Posted September 28, 2012 I don't believe the Marines used the USMC pocket stencil untill after the war.
doyler Posted September 28, 2012 Share #8 Posted September 28, 2012 Im not getting a warm and fuzzy about it. Maybe a vet put it together for a vistit tt the wall or parade.Just not liking the direct embroidery. To much of this is coming out of Asia. The RECON tab looks modern as well. beezman Posted September 28, 2012 Share #9 Posted September 28, 2012 A real ERDL jacket with post-war stencil (applied in the late 70s) and more recent embroidery made to deceive the collector. Typical of the junk coming out of Asia in the last 15 years or so. The patches do not even match: Marine Recon units (represented by the wings) never served as advisors in the RSSZ. Battling Bastard Posted April 21, 2017 Share #12 Posted April 21, 2017 Even the USMC stencil is not correct, it is too strong for a faded jacket..
