hawkdriver Posted September 14, 2012 Share #2 Posted September 14, 2012 Holy cow! I had one of those. Had a little hammer inside the magazine that rapped on the side with rapidity to make the auto fire sounds.
BEAR Posted September 14, 2012 Share #3 Posted September 14, 2012 Looks like the same one John Wayne smashed against the tree in GREEN BERET.
patches Posted September 15, 2012 Author Share #4 Posted September 15, 2012 Looks like the same one John Wayne smashed against the tree in GREEN BERET. Thats right, if I,m not mistaken, somewhere on the Forum is a captured still/frame of the Duke with this in his hand right before he smashes it. 38Driver Posted May 1, 2013 Share #15 Posted May 1, 2013 I had a couple of different toy Tommy guns that made great noise. I also remember a toy M14 that looked real to us kids, that shot plastic bullets and a grenade. It was a different time
Sabrejet Posted May 1, 2013 Share #16 Posted May 1, 2013 Kevin...we ran a fun thread along these lines on toy guns a while back...maybe you've already seen it? I just did a quick trawl through the archives but failed to locate it, but it must be there somewhere?!

Fun to see images of that camo Tommy gun. Same as the one I lugged around. How else could you pretend to be Sgt. Saunders from Combat!
USMC RAIDER COLLECTOR Posted May 1, 2013 Share #20 Posted May 1, 2013 I loved my Mattel Marauder M-16. I had to use mine to fight off an older sister. It worked wonders when I hit her between the eyes with the buttstock. That gives the term " Assault Weapon " a whole new meaning. If you watch the movie " The Green Berets " you can see that he breaks a poor Marauder against that tree.
